Freedom of Expression

“I am for freedom of religion and against all maneuvers to bring about a legal ascendancy of one sect over another, for freedom of the press, and against all violations of the Constitution to silence by force and not by reason the complaints or criticisms, just or unjust, of our citizens against the conduct of their agents.”

– Thomas Jefferson, “A Bill for Establishing Religious Freedom” (1779), as published in The Papers of Thomas Jefferson (1950) edited by Julian P. Boyd, Vol. 2, P. 545.

You have something to say. Your beliefs matter. Our freedom of expression is one of the most fundamental rights we have, and one that is constantly under attack and scrutiny. Maybe you are facing censorship regarding your speech or writing. Alternatively, perhaps you are dealing with unfair obstacles to following your religion. On the other hand, you could be facing retaliation for having spoken your mind, practiced your religion, or filing suit to have your rights protected. Finally, it could be plenty of other scenarios.

If you think your freedom of speech, religion, petition, assembly, or press has been violated or is being violated, please contact Ben, and he will see about getting it fixed.
